The keynote speakers will be Jillian Barrick, Business Administrator for the town of Morristown, and Jennifer Wehring, executive director of the Morristown Partnership and they will be speaking about what is happening in Morristown right now and what future plans they are working on for the town.



Tickets are $35 in advance through Jan. 24 at noon and $40 at the door.




Jillian Barrick has over 15 years of public sector experience including expertise in public sector budget and operational management and experience in planning and urban redevelopment.  Immediately prior to joining the Town of Morristown, Ms. Barrick served as the Business Administrator for the City of Perth Amboy in Middlesex County following a brief stint as the City’s Director of Economic and Community Development and Executive Director of the Perth Amboy Redevelopment Agency.  Prior to that Ms. Barrick served as City Administrator for the City East Orange in Essex County where she led the City through significant financial challenges and left it with a structurally balanced budget and stable fund balance. 

She also worked for over seven years with Public Financial Management as a Senior Managing Consultant where she provided management and budget consulting services to public sector clients as an engagement and project manager with a focus on urban distressed governments and school districts nationally.

Ms. Barrick is a member of the International City County Managers Association and the New Jersey Municipal Managers Association.  She is also a New Jersey licensed Professional Planner as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the American Planning Association.

Ms. Barrick has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University where she earned the Holzer Award for academic excellence.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology where she earned a certificate in Urban Policy from the Institute’s School of City Planning.
